Candidates interviewed for county boards and authorities
Interviews began today Friday with Fayette County residents interested in serving on various county boards and authorities.
Appointments will be made at a public meeting of the county commissioners at a later date.
Earlier this month, Commissioner Chairman Al Ambrosini issued a “call to service” for anyone wishing to volunteer to serve their community.
At the time, Commissioner Angela M. Zimmerlink said not many new resumes had been received from people seeking appointments.
Kathy Winkler, administrative assistant for Commissioner Vincent Zapotosky, who received the resumes and letters of interest, said Friday that “many” applications were received and interviews had begun.
The interviews will continue next week, Winkler said.
