The skiers and snowboarders were happy this past weekend here in  Western Pa with the cold conditions, some decent natural snow on the ground and even some blue skies yesterday.  The high yesterday was 21, the overnight low a frigid 1 degree and at 7AM we’re still at 1 under clear skies.  We had just a trace of snow yesterday with 5 inches on the ground.  The SW flow will really kick in today quickly raising the temperatures to above freezing this afternoon.  We’ll have some rain showers tonight into tomorrow  night when a cold front will change the rain to snow showers that will linger into Wednesday when we could see a couple of inches or so of lake effect.
