Wharton Township supervisors approve Nemacolin Woodlands Resort projects

By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

FARMINGTON — The Wharton Township supervisors on Monday granted conditional approval of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort’s land development plan for rebuilding the ski lodge that was destroyed in a February fire.

Supervisors unanimously voted to approve the plan contingent upon approval from the Fayette County Conservation District and confirmation from the resort’s sewage treatment plant that it has the capacity for the ski lodge.

The resort wants to start construction in July so the new lodge can be opened in time for this year’s ski season, Supervisor Jack Lewis said.
