Luella M. Lake
Luella M. Lake, 98, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at The Villages Hospital.
She was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Florida in 2005, the daughter of Arthur and Floie Whitlock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Lake; son, James A. Lake; grandsons, James A. Lake and Douglas W. Lake; sisters, Roberta Chitister, Margaret Pletcher, Loretta Hall and Dorothy Hoover.
She is survived by sons, Paul (Nancy) Lake, The Villages and Daniel (Joyce) Lake, The Villages; ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Luella was a talented quilter and artistic painter, a member of the Friendly Quilters of East Stroudsburg, Pa. and enjoyed quilting at Quiet Farm Museum.
She was a devoted wife and mother, hard-worker, faithful and true.
Memorial donations may be made to New Covenant United Methodist Church, 3470 Woodbridge Drive, The Villages FL 32162, where she attended.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME in Hopwood, Pa. on Saturday, March 3 with services starting at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Lake officiating. Burial will be held at Bethel Church Cemetary in Farmington, Pa. immediately following the service.
