Dolores Gayle (Holchin) Bartell
Dolores Gayle (Holchin) Bartell, age 80, of Etna, Pa., passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012.
She was born June 6, 1931 in Upper Middletown, Pa., the daughter of Joseph Charles Holchin and Lydia (Arison) Holchin.
Dolores worked for the Pennsylvania State Board of Probation and Parole Office from where she retired after 43 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: William, Charles Gerald, Joseph Dwayne, and James; three sisters: M i l d r e d Armstrong, Evelyn Jean Yanskey, Donna Drennon; three nephews: Patrick Newell Timothy McMahan, Almeron Armstrong; one niece, Lydia McMahan; and one great-great niece, Kelsey Matthews.
Dolores is survived by two sisters: Harriet Newell of Plymouth Meeting, Pa., and Marion Joanne McMahan of Pittsburgh, Pa. She loved and cherished every one of the following: 30 nieces and nephews, 55 great nieces and nephews and 15 great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, at 1 p.m. in the UPPER MIDDLETOWN METHODIST C H U R C H, Upper Middletown, Pa. Pastor Terence Teluch and Pastor Daniel Brant will officiate.
Interment will follow in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery, Vanderbilt, Pa.
