Dolores Keffer
Dolores Keffer, age 84, of Dawson, Pa., passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012. She was born July 4, 1927 at Layton, Pa., the daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Catherine Malinda Mellinger.
Dolores was a member of the Brownfield Community Center in Dawson, Pa.
She is survived by four grandchildren: April Fuoss and husband Howard of Connellsville, Pa., Steve Keffer and wife Beth of Star Junction, Pa., Theodore Strother of Belle Vernon, Pa., Timothy Strother and companion Edward of Banning, Pa.; one sister, Judith Stewart of Flatwoods, Pa.; five great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Donald and Eric Fuoss, all of Connellsville, Pa., Theodore Strother, Jr., of Bell Vernon, Pa. and Ivy Rose Strother of Belle Vernon, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, William; three children, Malinda Strother, Lawrence Keffer and Roger Keffer; two brothers, Donald and Gary Mellinger.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR – LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa. on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday until 1:00 p.m., the hour of service. Pastor David Bell will officiate.
Interment will be in Mt. W a s h i n g t o n Cemetery, Perryopolis, Pa. 15473.
