Franklin E. LaScala
Franklin E LaScala, 76, of Newell, Pa., passed away, Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born June 13, 1935 in Newell, Pa., son of the late Frank LaScala and Antonia Vuono LaScala.
He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a retired warehouseman at Wattereau and worked part time at Giant Eagle, both in Belle Vernon. Frank also ran the LaScala Clover Farm Store in Newell from 1959 to 1978. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon,Pa.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathy A Camino LaScala; daughter, Lisa Novak of Monongahela, daughter, Linda Keplar of Newell; son Frank LaScala of Washington DC, son, Jon LaScala of Morrisville, N.C.; granddaughter, Anna Marie Keplar; grandson, Evan Novak; granddaughter, Jordan Novak; great-grandson, Shawn Dawson; sister, Erminia (Minnie) LaScala of Newell; niece, Amy Musar Roberts and nephew, Michael T. Musar.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Erminia LaScala and Jean LaScala Musar.

Blessing Service will be held Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon with Msgr. Roger A. Statnick as celebrant. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family in the Monongahela Cemetery.
