Kayla Gearing Applause

The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce has honored Kayla Gearing, a junior at Connellsville Career and Technical Institute, as a student of the month for January 2012.

The daughter of Daniel and Candace Gearing of Connellsville, she plans to attend either Westmoreland Community College or Laurel Business Institute to study culinary arts or massage therapy.

Gearing is involved in yearbook culinary arts and Skills USA.
