Man beaten, robbed in Brownsville
Brownsville police said they are investigating after a delivery man was beaten and robbed in Brownsville March 8.
Police said the incident occurred when Joel Bitanti, no address available, attempted to deliver take-out food to a location on South Hills Terrace.
When he arrived at the location, Bitanti told police that no one was at the residence.
However, he was approached by two men who began to assault him, police said.
Bitanti attempted to run from the scene but was stopped by one of the men who intimated that he had a handgun in his pocket, police said.
Officers said the men then robbed Bitanti before fleeing the scene.
Bitanti then ran to a nearby business and called 911.
Police said anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call police at 724-785-7334.
