Uniontown man jailed in rape of mentally challenged woman
A Uniontown man is behind bars after police allege he raped a mentally challenged woman in Uniontown in January.
Uniontown police Officer Michael Bittner said Bill Patrick Greene Jr., 19, was charged Friday night before Magisterial District Judge Dwight K. Shaner with rape, rape of a mentally challenged person, three counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, four counts each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault and a single count of terroristic threats.
Bittner said the charges were filed after Greene forced himself onto the woman, 21, at a residence in Uniontown on Jan. 6.
He said the victim, who functions on a sixth-grade level, was sleeping when the assault began and noted that once she woke up she physically tried to stop Greene and also told him to stop.
Bittner said that in response to her protests, Greene threatened to kill her, and later warned her not to tell anyone about the incident.

Greene was placed in Fayette County Prison on $50,000 straight cash bond following his arraignment.
A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros.
