1 min read

The majority of Fayette County commissioners Tuesday approved agreements for human resources and solicitor services to separate entities from Westmoreland County.

Commissioners Al Ambrosini and Vincent Zapotosky voted in favor of both motions, with Commissioner Angela M. Zimmerlink dissenting.

Felice Associates of Greensburg, which currently provides human resources services to the county, was granted a three-year extension. The services, which include an on-site human resources director and the handling of all contract negotiations and labor issues, is for $122,400 each year for a term beginning April 1 and ending March 31, 2015.

Ambrosini and Zapotosky also approved a motion to hire Ken Burkley of Greensburg as an interim solicitor for three to six months at a cost not to exceed $4,000 a month.
