Uniontown man to stand trial for attempted homicide
A Uniontown man accused of firing a gun at another man and robbing him last summer will stand trial.
Uniontown police Officer Jamie Holland said Demond Wiggan, 18, was charged last in August with criminal attempt homicide, three counts of robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a minor.
Holland said the charges were filed after Wiggan, then 17, fired a single round at Joseph Pullem of Uniontown and robbed him on July 3.
Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros held all charges against Wiggan following testimony from Pullem and Holland during a preliminary hearing held this afternoon.
