Edna Ruth Miller DeVault
Edna Ruth Miller DeVault, 67, of New Geneva, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 18, 2012, a t t h e Madison Nursing Home, Morgantown, after a short battle with cancer.
Born October 10, 1944 in Lake Lynn, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Edward Miller and Luvina Mary (Engle) Hudson.
A member of the New Geneva Baptist Church, Edna was a hard worker throughout her whole life. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt.
She is survived by her children, Gregory and Tina Miller and Lori (Miller) Callen and husband, Stephen; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Miller) Hoover and husband Rob, Gregory, Stephen, Jacob, Kayla and Mariah; two great grandchildren, Dylan and Travis Hoover. Also surviving are her siblings, Joseph Perkins of Medina, Ohio, Virgil Perkins and wife Phyllis of Smithfield, Pa., Bonnie Sicklesmith of Greene County, Pa., Judy Dillenger of Uniontown, Pa., and Rose Wilburn of Colorado.
Edna was preceded in death by her son, David DeVault, and a brother, Raymond Miller.
The family will receive friends in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa. on Friday, March 23, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday until 11:00 a.m., the hour of service, with Edward Burnette officiating. Christian burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva.
