The Washington County Young Marines are seeking community support for the local veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Members will conduct a drive from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday for supplies and money to benefit the patients at the hospital, who range in age from 20 to 101.

Steel City Harley Davidson and Honda in Washington is hosting the drive.

Supplies needed include stick deodorant, denture cleaner, body wash and other personal items as well as recreational items, including books, audio books, CD players, movies, puzzle books, video games and accessories. Postage stamps and phone cards also will allow patients to keep in touch with loved ones.

Checks can be made payable to VA Pittsburgh Health Care System.
