Man waives burglary charges to court

1 min read

A Belle Vernon man waived all charges against him to court in a burglary case related to a break-in at a South Union Township home.

Joseph Franklin Walters Jr., 25, waived burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief and theft of a motor vehicle to Fayette County Court.

Walters was charged with breaking into an apartment at 13 Williams St. Extension on Oct. 18.

The resident of the apartment, Aaron Georgiana, told police that DVDs, a video game system and games and accessories for the system were stolen. Georgiana told police that his grandmother, Patricia Georgiana, owns the building and he suspected that people who took her to the hospital earlier that day were responsible for the break-in.

Police said Walters was one of those people.

Patricia Georgiana told police that pills also were stolen from the home.
