Rudy Gotch
Rudy Gotch, 92, Nemacolin, Pa., died Friday, March 23, 2012 in his home.
Mr. Gotch was born on December 12, 1919 in York Run, Fayette County, Pa., the son of Samuel Gotch and P e a r l Markovich Gotch.
Rudy served his country during World War II in the United States Army in Europe.
He was a retired Coal Miner from the Nemacolin Mine.
He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion both in Masontown, Pa., and Carmichaels Senior Citizens.
He kept active all his life by bowling, golfing, and dancing with Louise.
Mr. Gotch was inducted into the Fayette County Baseball Hall of Fame.
He was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.
He was predeceased by eight brothers, Mike, George, John, Steve, Metro, Nick, Eli, and Joe Gotch, four sisters: Mildred, Sadie, Dolores, and Lucille; and his parents.
Rudy is survived by his beloved Louise Giacomel; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; a favorite niece, Pearl Martin who trimmed his hair; a Godchild: Nadine Kotch; and caregivers: Lara Keene, April McKahan, Bob Mansberry, Jackie Wotring; and the staff of Amedysis.
Friends will be received in LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320 (724.966.5100) Paul M. Lesako Funeral Director/Supervisor on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon. A Prayer Service will be conducted by the Reverend Doctor Rodney Torbic at Noon.
Interment will follow in the Greene County Memorial Park Mausoleum. Full Military Rites will be accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4584 and the American Legion Post 423 both of Masontown.
