Jeffrey Alden Ardabell, 51 of Woodside, Pa. died unexpectedly on March 25, 2012.

He was born June 30, 1960 in Uniontown, Pa., son of Alfretta (Easter) Ardabell and Ralph Alden Ardabell.

Preceding him in death were his father, Ralph Alden Ardabell, grandmother, Velma Easter, father-in-law, Earnest Hall and sister- and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Anthony Glebis.

Jeff was a member of Saint Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Uniontown and attended the Brownfield United Methodist Church.

He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and was dedicated to the sport of softball; coach and player.

He served in the U.S. Navy for four years on the USS Nashville and was honorably discharged.

Jeff was currently employed at SCI Greene as a Corrections Officer.

He was a very dedicated husband and father. Surviving are his loving wife of 26 years, Tammy (Hall) Ardabell; three children: AJ Ardabell and fiancé` Erica Speeney, Nicole Ardabell and friend Sarah Guynn and Toni Marie Ardabell; mother, Alfretta Easter Ardabell; brothers and sisters: Richard Ardabell of Florida, Dan Lucas and wife Puff, Uniontown, Pa., Gail Ardabell, Smithfield, Pa., Toni Rae Ardabell and husband Stephan Ryeczek, Richmond, Va., Scott “Sam” Ardabell and wife Sheri, McClellandtown, Pa., Micky Ardabell and wife Jodi, Connellsville, Pa., Bobby Fuller and wife Barbara, Accident, Md., Tracy Thomas, Lemont Furnace, Pa. and Carmen Easter and wife Fran, Elkton, Md.; many nieces and nephews; mother – in – law, Audrey Hall, Uledi, Pa. and brothers and sisters-in-law:, Debbie Gray and husband Herschel, Cathy McAllister and husband Ron, Rosie Hall and husband Butch, Ernie Hall and wife Jonna, Renee Duncan and husband Gene, Dwayne Hall and wife Jody and Ethan Hall and wife Kathy Jo.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Wednesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. with Corrections Officer Honor Guard Present and on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 9 to 11 a.m.

Services begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Diane Olson and Rev. Madison Stringfellow officiating.

Interment will follow in Greendale Cemetery, Masontown, Pa. with Military Rites being accorded by American Legion Post 51 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Mary Nativity Catholic Church, 61 North Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa. 15401 or Brownfield United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 16, Brownfield, Pa. 15416.
