Elderly man found safe after leaving care home
State police said an elderly Scottdale man was treated at a Mount Pleasant hospital after he unplugged a door alarm and left the personal care home in which he was living.
Around 10:30 a.m. Monday, Samuel Miller, 84, who has dementia, unplugged the alarm and walked out of Jo-Ellas Personal Care Home, unbeknownst to the staff, Trooper Justin Werner indicated.
Police said Miller was later found in a nearby wooded area, and was taken to Frick Hospital for minor injuries.
