Rosemarie Saltrick Dean
Rosemarie Saltrick Dean, 79, of 434 Peninsula Point, Lynch Station, Va. died Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the devoted wife of Thomas Dean, Jr. for almost 60 years.
She was born September 17, 1932 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the late George Soltrick and Kathryn (Hudock) Valint. She was a member of St. Victoria Catholic Church and an expert in knitting and crocheting, loved the computer, bowling and cooking.
She is survived by three sons: William F. Dean and his wife Angie, Thomas Dean, III and his wife Carrie and Christopher M. Dean, all of Goldsboro, N.C.; a daughter, Pamela S. Mitchell and her husband Larry of Arlington, Va. and eight grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at St. Victoria Catholic Church by Father James Gallagher with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at FINCH & FINCH FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE, Altavista, VA and other times at the residence.
The family suggests to Rosemarie’s friends that rather than sending flowers they consider planting roses in her memory.
