Uniontown City Council appoints new engineer

Uniontown City Council appointed a new engineering firm and promoted a police officer to lieutenant on Wednesday.

Council voted 4-1 to appoint K2 Engineering of Uniontown, the city’s building code official, as the city’s engineering firm in place of McMillen Engineering of Uniontown.

In addition, council unanimously voted to promote 11-year patrolman Thomas Kolencik to the vacant lieutenant’s position.
