Valley Road project nearing completion in Perry Township

By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

The Perry Township supervisors approved the final payment to the fill contractor for the Valley Road project.

A.J. Boni, chairman of the board of supervisors, said the supervisors agreed on Tuesday to the final payment of $29,500 to the contractor that filled the ravine over which a bridge once stood.

The township demolished the bridge after it was closed a couple years ago due to structural concerns. The township has filled in the ravine, relocated a water line and installed guide rails at a cost of about $210,000, Boni said. The next step is paving the road, he said.
