Fayette County observes National Day of Prayer

Red, white and blue proved the colors of the day as Fayette County joined the country in observing the 61st National Day of Prayer on Thursday.

Observances were held in Uniontown, Connellsville, Brownsville and Masontown, many with patriotic decorations and people dressed in patriotic colors.

“I believe the greatest responsibility we have is praying for one another as well as our nation and the world, and that God hears our prayers,” said the Rev. Arnold Husk, president of the Uniontown Area Clergy Association, which sponsored the 19th Annual National Day of Prayer Breakfast at the Salvation Army, located on West Fayette St.
