Ruby D. (Bucklew) Reckard
Ruby D. (Bucklew) Reckard, age 85, formerly of Collier, Fayette County, Pa., and the Meadow Heights Apartments passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown.
She was born June 4, 1922 in Terra Alta, West Virginia the daughter of Russel Bucklew and Cora (Teets) Bucklew.
Ruby was predeceased by her parents; her husband James Reckard Sr.; an infant sister, Maxine; sister, Edna Morgan; and a brother, Russel Bucklew Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children and their spouses: James Jr. ‘JF’ and Karen Reckard, Beverly and Bob Pastorius and Duane and Shelly Reckard; eight grandchildren and their spouses: Lynn and Jim Rose, James III and Marla Reckard, Derek and Kristen Reckard, Pete and Amanda Reckard, Rob and Amy Pastorius, Bethany and Eric Carroll, Janna Reckard, A s h l e y Reckard and her fianceé Eric Miller; eleven great grandchildren: Justin and Alyssa Rose, Malia, Haley and James Reckard IV, Marina, TJ and Tessa Reckard, Patrick and Lilah Reckard, and Ava Pastorius; brother, Eugene and Peggy Bucklew; many nieces and nephews.
Ruby graduated from the former Georges Township High School, Class of 1941.
She was employed by the Uniontown Hospital and by Lafayette Manor for many years.
Ruby was a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Uniontown and the Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class.
Family and Friends will be received in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE INC., John M. Fabry, Supervisor, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, PA 15436 today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, May 7, until 10 a.m., the hour of the Service with Elder David Stewart of the Third Presbyterian Church in Uniontown officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
