Samuel Stephen Beckett III
On Monday, 9 April 2012, Samuel Stephen Beckett III, age 70, passed quietly from this life into the presence of God.
Born 8 September 1941 i n Uniontown, Pennsylvania, ‘Sam’ was the older of two children born to Samuel S. Beckett and Isadora (Zacoi) Beckett.
‘Sam’ graduated from Uniontown High School in 1959 and went on to Grove City College where he graduated in 1963.
Upon graduation, ‘Sam’ joined the United States Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant serving as a Navigator.
Upon separation from the military, he worked several y e a r s f o r P f i z e r Pharmaceuticals b e f o r e moving to Central Texas. Here he began a career with KISD.
Sam was a coach, counselor and assistant principal over his 32 year tenure at KISD.
Sam retired in 2002 and loved photography and any and everything to do with his grandson.
‘Sam’ is survived by Anne (Shelton) Beckett, his bride of 47 years; his daughter, Elizabeth Moran; his son-in-law, William C. Moran Jr.; his grandson, Trey Moran; and sister, Pamela Wogan of Columbus, Ohio. Sam will be greatly missed by all who had the great fortune to know him.
