Fayette County Sheriff Gary D. Brownfield said his office handled 205 requests for service in April, including 71 complaints and summonses, 13 landlord/tenant disputes and 41 protection-from-abuse cases. Brownfield said deputies also handled 15 foreclosures, 22 property executions and 19 foreign writ services. Deputies also served four bench warrants, issued 349 gun permits and transported 64 prisoners 3,722 miles.

According to Brownfield, his office also provided security at the courthouse and the county 911 center.
