Barbara A. (Volpe) Swenglish
Barbara A. Volpe Swenglish age 70, of Connellsville, Pa., passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2012 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, Pa.
She was born December 30, 1941 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of James Volpe and Rose (Maruca) Volpe.
Barbara was a graduate of Uniontown High School with the Class of 1959.
She had been a resident of Connellsville since 1972.
She had worked for the now former Thrift Drug Store in Connellsville for 23 years.
She was a member of Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville.
Barbara will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving husband of 50 years, Lawrence I. ‘Larry’ Swenglish; her children: Lisa Renze and husband Vincent and L o r i Bartok and husband Michael all of Mount Pleasant, Pa., and Christopher Swenglish and wife Richelle of Connellsville; her grandchildren: Shawn and Erin Driscoll, Ryan and Kylan Bartok, Mason S w e n g l i s h, Ashley Renze, and H a l e y Renze and dear friend Steven Bulebosh; and her sister, Virginia Blanc, New Salem, Pa
In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brothers, Clement, Frank, James, and John Volpe.
Family and Friends will be received today from 2 to 9 p.m. in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, PA 15425 (724.628.1430) where Prayers of Transfer will be said on Monday, May 14, at 10 a.m.
Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, with Reverend Father Robert T. Lubic as Celebrant.
A Committal Service and interment will follow in Saint Rita’s Cemetery, Connellsville Township.
