Dolores C. Lerda
Dolores C. Lerda, age 74, of Perryopolis, Pa. passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. She was born May 4, 1938 at Star Junction, Pa., the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna Marie Lonce-Ludwick.
Dolores will always be remembered as being a loving and devoted mother and wife.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Glenn; two children: a daughter Betty Anne Rock and husband, Mark of Perryopolis, Pa. and son Glenn Robert Lerda and wife Edna ‘EG’ of Perryopolis; four grandchildren: Mark Jared Rock of Perryopolis, Pa., Matthew Rock and Sarah of Isabella, Pa.; Robert Lerda and wife Tricia of Charleroi, Pa.; Dustin Lerda of Perryopolis, Pa.; two great grandchildren: Hayden Skye and Matthew Lee; one sister Rita Shelhouse and husband, Marvin of Milfred, Delaware; two brothers: Ronald Ludwick and wife Joyce of Perryopolis, Pa. and Clement Ludwick and wife Vickie of Belle Vernon, Pa.; and one special niece, Ruth Anne Farmer of Belle Vernon, Pa.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received at the BLAIR – LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA, on Thursday, May 17 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a Prayer Service will be held Friday, May 18 at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, PA with Father Anthony Ditto as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA. A wake service will be held on Thursday in the Funeral Home.
