New Jersey man charged in assault of Uniontown resident
A New Jersey man is facing assault and related charges after police allege he kicked a Uniontown man in the head and face during an altercation earlier this month.
California police Officer Terry L. Childs said the charges were filed before Magisterial District Judge Joshua Kanalis against Nadir Qasim Brown, 22, of East Orange, N.J.
Childs said Brown “attacked” Matthew Nesser, 24, of Uniontown after Nesser had been knocked to the ground during an altercation.
Childs said that Brown kicked Nesser in the head and face during the assault and then fled the scene.
Multiple witnesses gave police descriptions of the attacker, later identified as Brown, and he was subsequently taken into police custody.
Brown will face a preliminary hearing at a later date before Kanalis.
