Rosalie A. (Nicola) Rockocy
Rosalie A. (Nicola) Rockocy age 80 of Brownsville, Pa. died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in the UPMC – Presbyterian Hospital w i t h h e r loving family by her side.
She was born on June 26, 1931 in Brownsville, Pa., the daughter of the late Gaetano and Grace (Famularo) Nicola.
She was the owner of the Square News in Brownsville, Pa. and operated the lottery for 25 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Steve Rockocy; Beloved Son Steven and wife Darla Rockocy, Brownsville, Pa.; Two beloved Grandchildren: Steven and Taylor Rockocy; 4 Sisters: Mary Ann Nearing, Brownsville, Pa., Josephine (Robert) Yarup, Indiana, Pa., Norma Jean (Robert) Trombino, Belle Vernon, Pa. and Nancy Lee (Ronald) DeSalvo, Hiller, Pa.; 2 Sisters-in-law:Fannie Nicola, Brownsville, Pa. and Margaret Howell, Mentor, Ohio; 1 Brother-in-law: Mike (Terry) Rockocy, Willoughby, Ohio; Numerous loving Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 2 Brothers, Samuel J. Nicola and Charles Nicola, Father and Mothers-in-law, George and Theresa Rockocy, 4 Sisters-in -law: Geraldine Nicola, Mary Drubecki, Anna Mae Rockocy and Wally Rockocy, 4 Brothers-in-law:John Rockocy, George ‘Fidge’ Rockocy, Andrew ‘Mutch’ Rockocy and Philip Nearing, Niece, Sabrina Dee Nicola and Nephew, Stephen A. Yarup.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA on Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m., Where a prayer service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Micah E. Kozoil as celebrant.
