Three charged in shoplifting spree

Three Fayette County residents are facing charges after police allege they went on a shoplifting spree in South Union Township in March after making a stop at an area methadone clinic.

State police Trooper Nathan Swink said Alisha Nicole Brown, 20, of Brownsville, Heather Lee Shumar, 33, of Hiller and Kaecieo Jasuan Bass, 25, of Uniontown were each charged before Magisterial District Judge Joseph m. George Jr. with receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy to receive stolen property.

Swink said police identified the suspects while investigating the theft of a purse from a location in Menallen Township March 25.
