By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

State police said they captured a Fayette County man who ran from police prior to his arrest in Edenborn Thursday evening.

Cpl Charles R. Frey said troopers responded to a domestic dispute in Edenborn Thursday afternoon in which a suspect allegedly wielded a gun.

When troopers arrived and attempted to take the suspect into custody he fled on foot.

Troopers, with the assistance of Masontown police, were able to capture the man following a brief foot pursuit.

Frey said the suspect will face multiple charges including simple assault and flight to avoid apprehension.

His name was withheld pending the formalization of charges.

Frey noted that a second man was also arrested at the scene after police discovered outstanding warrants for his arrest.
