James Freddie Jopling
James Freddie Jopling, 77 of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
He was born June 3, 1934 in Charleston, W.Va., son of James Elmer Jopling and Georgia (Bogus) Jopling.
His parents and a son Danny Joplin are predeceased.
Dad loved to hunt, work on cars and spend time sitting on the porch with his friends at White Swann Apartments. He attended the Oak Hill Baptist Church at Old Frame.
Freddie is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Guthrie Jopling; children: James Joplin and wife Donna, Tennessee, Jonathan Joplin and wife Robin, Ohio, Michael Joplin and wife Judy, Pennsylvania, Dwight Joplin and wife Shari, West Virginia, Patrick Joplin, West Virginia, Debbie Susa and husband Rene, Ohio, Tammy Avery and husband Brian, Ohio and Penny Joplin, Ohio; the children’s mother, Phyllis Jopling, Ohio; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Private services are under the direction of the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Hill Baptist Church, 264 Old Frame Road, Smithfield, Pa. 15478.
