Betty A. Bowlen
Betty A. Bowlen, age 91 of Fairchance, Pa., passed away on May 24, 2012.
She was born June 29, 1920 in Uniontown, Pa.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Ewing Swaney and Laura Pastorous Swaney; husband, James Enoch Bowlen in 1991; grandson, Wesley Fisher; two sisters, Ruth E. Swaney and Thelma Britt; brother, Clarence Swaney and son-in-law, Joseph Petraglia.
She was a Protestant by faith.
Surviving are her loving family: two daughters, Thelma Petraglia, Gainesville, Va. and Barbara Fisher and husband Marvin Fisher of Fairchance, Pa.; grandson, Michael Spaw and wife, Julia, of Linden, Va.; four great-grandchildren and f o u r great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Monday, May 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Paul Lesher officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
The family would like to thank Terry Rahm and the staff of Fairfields’ Liberty Hall Personal Care Home for all of their care for Betty while she was a resident there.
