Police warn of door-to-door solicitors

1 min read

Masontown police and the mayor are warning area residents that unauthorized door-to-door solicitors have been reported in the borough in recent days.

Mayor Toni Petrus said Friday that the solicitors have been approaching residents about electricity options but have not obtained a permit from the borough to make their sales pitch.

Police said borough residents should call 911 to report any suspicious activity or unlawful solicitation.
