Veterans honored
Many people gathered under the shade of the trees on the Avenue of Flags at Sylvan Heights Cemetery in North Union Township on Monday to honor and remember fallen soldiers.
“It is fitting that we stand upon this ground to commence our Memorial Day,” said Uniontown Mayor Ed Fike. “It makes me realize how great it is to be an American.”
