Man charged following alleged false claim

By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

A Uniontown man is facing several charges after police allege he claimed he had been stabbed by a woman during a dispute in Uniontown Saturday.

Uniontown police Officer Jason Fidazzo said Kenneth Baker, 48, of Uniontown was charged with providing false alarms to public safety agencies, two counts of false reports to law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

Fidazzo said officers were summoned to 20 Millview St. at 3 a.m. for a report of a man stabbed in the foot. Reports to Fayette County 911 also indicated that the knife was still in the man’s foot.

When officers arrived, they found Baker on the back porch of the residence but noted that he had not been stabbed in the foot, Fidazzo said. He said that officers tried to ascertain what had transpired prior to the 911 call but noted that Baker was intoxicated and not making sense.
