Robert E. Jeffreys, Sr.
Robert E. Jeffreys Sr. 93 of Uniontown, Pa. died Sunday, May 27, 2012.
He was born October 6, 1918 in Uniontown, Pa. son of Charles R. and Esther (Sickles) Jeffreys.
Robert was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army.
He was employed for many years as Building Superin-tendent for Gallatin Bank in Uniontown until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Mary Jane (Cooley) Jeffreys and a sister, Evelyn (Jeffreys) Cooley.
Surviving are his four sons: Robert Jeffreys Jr. and wife Sandy, Hopewell, Va., Dr. Richard E. Jeffreys and wife Kathy, Warsaw, Indiana, Dr. Edward D. Jeffreys, Uniontown, Pa. and Daniel L. Jeffreys and wife Sheila, Mt. Lake Park, Md.; grand-children: Rachel Grose and husband Jeff, Warsaw, Indiana, Robin Hair and husband David, Hopewell, Va., Jeff Jeffreys and wife Crystal, Colonial Heights, Va., Jon Jeffreys, Hopewell, Va., D. Doug Jeffreys and wife Leslie, Warsaw, Indiana, Benjamin Jeffreys and wife Miranda, Mt. Lake Park, Md. and Timothy Jeffreys and wife Amy, Fredericksburg, Va.; great-grandchildren: Sarah Jeffreys, Bobby Earl Jeffreys, Lucas Grose, Derek Grose, Jack Grose, Lauren Grose, Krysta Jeffreys, Andrew Jeffreys and Brenna Jeffreys; sisters: Beatrice (Jeffreys) Flinner, Ruth (Jeffreys) Barber and Juanita (Jeffreys) Cramer; many nieces and nephews and special niece, Sandy Shoe-maker for being his caregiver and friend.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. (today) Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, May 31, 2012 until 11:00 a.m. the hour of Service with Rev. Roland Maust officiating.
