Freda (Olschesky) Rainey Yarish
Freda (Olschesky) Rainey Yarish, 99, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 7:45 a.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012 at Precious Moments Personal Care Home, Carmichaels.
She was born March 4, 1913 in Republic, Pa., daughter of the late William Olschesky and Louise (Wolff) Olschesky.
Mrs. Yarish resided in Carmichaels since 1971 where she was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the St. Paul’s sewing club and the Carmichaels Senior Center.
Mrs. Yarish enjoyed flower gardening and playing bingo.
Her first husband, Louis Rainey, died in 1966. In January of 1971, she married Steve J. Yarish, who died October 22, 1990.
Surviving are her step sons, Don Yarish and his wife Joan of Carmichaels, Jack Yarish of Millsboro, Delaware and Louis Rainey Jr.; three step daughters, Nancy J. Finfrock of Toledo, Ohio, Judy Holop and her husband, Al, of Brunswick, Ohio and Joyce Kopinsky of Toledo, Ohio; 12 grandchildren: William Yarish Jr., Sandy Bainum, Mark Yarish, James Yarish, D o n n a Yarish-Calvert, M a r i a n n a T e k a v e c, Gary Peksa, Jodi Clements, Michael Darr, Debbie Jagger, Gordon Hall and Gary Hall; 17 great grandchildren; one brother, Harry Olschesky and his wife, Dorothy, of North Cambria, Pa.; a step son-in-law, Roger Hall of Fullerton, Cal.; a step daughter-in-law, Ann Yarish of Carmichaels; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Fred Olschesky and Paul Olschesky; two sisters, Anna Yarish and Mildred Klotz; a step daughter, Jean Hall; and a step son, William Yarish.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. Her life will be celebrated at the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Lutheran Church, Carmichaels, Pa., with the Rev. Rebecca F. Dittenhafer officiating.
Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 224 South Market Street, Carmichaels, PA 15320.
