Belle Vernon man charged with ID theft

1 min read

A Belle Vernon man accused of using his brother’s name to get a driver’s license in 1983 was charged with identity theft and related charges.

Enarld Clyde Ruffin, 71, of Donner Avenue in Monessen allegedly established the license in the name of his brother, Jerrold N. Ruffin, and kept it active, state police allege.

Trooper William Coddington alleged Enarld Ruffin most recently renewed the license in July 2011 at Tri-County Plaza in Belle Vernon, where the licensing center is located.

He is also charged with two counts of tampering with public records and one count of unsworn falsification.
