Darla Joyce Ball, age 66, of Uniontown, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Greensburg Care Center.

Darla was a loving, loyal mother, sister, aunt and kitty mommy. She was also an adoring daughter to her parents, the late Albert and Marie Hess of Uniontown.

Her greatest joy was serving and caring for children. She was a proud president of the John F. Kennedy Elementary School PTO for many years. Darla was also the longtime secretary of the Youth and Manorette Bowling Leagues at Manor Lanes in Hopwood.

Darla is survived by her son, Steve Ball of Muncie, IN; her siblings, Sharon and Tom Miller of Greensburg and Janis Hoffmann of Phoenix, AZ and her nieces and nephews, Joe, JoAnne, Jacob and Jenna Salvatore of Greensburg and Kelli and Brad Jennings of Dallas, TX.

Darla’s memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at CENTRAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 23 South Gallatin Avenue in Uniontown.

Her family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Fayette Friends of Animals, P.O. Box 1282, Uniontown, Pa. 15401.
