Charles Robert ‘Bob’ Shaffer March 20, 1931

Bob Shaffer, formerly of Lake Lynn, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas.
An avid outdoorsman, Bob was a life member of the National Rifle Association and the Amateur Trap Association. He was a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasons, the Elks and Rotary clubs.
Bob was born in Uniontown, Pa. to his parents, Charles Lenhart Shaffer and Alice Mae Shaffer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (McLaughlin) Shaffer and his son Robert Daniel Shaffer.
He is survived by his daughters, Diane Meadows of Spring Branch, Texas and Jeanne Banty of McCoy, Texas; three grandchildren: Scott Meadows, Jessica Jones and Jeremy Jones and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the North Bruceton Mills Cemetery in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to the American Lung Association.
