Antiques appraisal offered
The Fayette County Association for the Blind will host the second annual National Road Treasures Antique Appraisal fundraising event in partnership with the Fayette County Historical Society from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Abel Colley Museum, located at 7083 National Pike, about a mile west of the Searights Tollhouse in Menallen Township.
Expert appraisers Tom Buckelew, owner of Beeson Hill Antiques, and John Kroeck, owner of Lark Inn Antiques, will offer opinions on the value of antiques brought in by residents. These appraisals will cost $5 for each item appraised. A written appraisal for insurance purposes also will be available for $15 per item. Appraisals for jewelry will not be available.
