Marlin ‘Mike’ Edgar Sesler, Sr.
Marlin “Mike” Edgar Sesler Sr., age 81, of Smithfield, Pa., died suddenly on Monday, October 22, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Newcomer, Pa. on June 25, 1931, a son of the late Wilma (Newcomer) and Altha R. Sesler Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Altha Jr. and Phil Sesler and sisters: Lucille Barney and Marcia Barrish.
Mike is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bernice (Franks) Sesler; five children: Berlin Marsh and her husband Robert of Cheswick, Pa., Nancy Sesler and Barry Kuhn of New Market, Md., Marlin E. Sesler Jr. and his fiancée Jeanne Nalesnick of Dormont, Pa., Melinda Rock of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Melonie Luxbacher and her husband Peter of Austell, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sister, Carrie Keener and her husband William of Grafton, Ohio; brother-in-law Martin Barrish; sister-in-law Minnie Conrad and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Mike retired from Bell Telephone Company (Verizon) as an engineering manager with 33 years of service and was a 50-year member of the Marion Lodge No. 562 F & AM, Scottdale, Pa.
Honoring Mike’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at Noon, Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the THIRD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 425 Union St., Uniontown, PA with the Rev. Chris Enoch officiating.
Contributions may be made in Mike’s memory to the Third Presbyterian Church.
