Daisy Winona (Turner) Fisher
Daisy Winona (Turner) Fisher, age 89, of White House, died Monday October, 29, 2012 at her home.
She was born November 30, 1922 in Smithfield, Pa., a daughter of the late Chauncey M. and Ella May Uphold Turner.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of forty-three years, James W. Fisher; sisters, Elizabeth Moats and Marie Hileman and brothers, Wendell Turner and Earl Turner.
Surviving are her brother, Kenneth Turner of Lake Lynn, Pa.,, and many nieces and nephews.
Daisy was a 1941 graduate of Georges Township High School. She retired from Anchor Hocking Corporation, where she was a cap inspector. She was a member of Springhill Furnace Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
The family will receive friends at the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, INC., 21 E. Church St., Fairchance, PA 15436 John M. Fabry, Supervisor, J. Michael Fisher, Funeral Director, on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday until 11 a.m., the hour of the funeral service, with Rev. Joey Hickock, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield.
