Emily Litman Zelina
Emily Litman Zelina, 77 of Bobtown, Pa. passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 in the Madison Center of Morgantown, West Virginia.
Emily was born October 11, 1934 in Continental No. 2, Pennsylvania, daughter of George Litman and Helen Fryte Litman.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, George Litman II and Robert Litman.
Emily was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 55 years, Rich; Three sons: Mark Zelina and his wife Colleen, Holmdel, N.J., Tom Zelina and his wife Karen, New Albany, Ohio and Rick Zelina and his wife Lisa, Huntersville, N.C; One daughter; Carol Zapotosky and her husband Vince, Uniontown, Pa. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Kelsey, Sarah, Michael, Eric, Andrew, Elizabeth ‘Lizzi’ and William. Her eyes would light up with each visit and her love for these children will continue, two sisters: Jeanie Ricker and her husband Mick of Florida, Gloria Schifko and her husband Denny of Uniontown; one brother, Kenneth Litman and his wife Marge of Ohio. Emily also leaves many nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
Emily was dedicated to our Lord by serving many years as a volunteer at Saint Ignatius Church, Bobtown. Emily enjoyed cooking, baking, playing bingo and scrabble and an occasional trip to the casino.
But most of all, talking about the love of her life, her husband, children and grandchildren. Emily will be deeply missed but her memory will live forever.
Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, Thomas B. Rudolph, Funeral Director & Supervisor, 15 Main St. Point Marion, on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 2-9 p.m. and on Thursday, September 6, 2012 when brief prayers will be said in the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Saint Ignatius Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Lawrence V. Holpp as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
Parish Vigil service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday evening.
