Margaret L. Bartolomeo, 93, of Balsinger, Pa., died on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Peroni Personal Care Home, Uniontown, Pa. She was born on May 28, 1919 in Buffington, Pa., daughter of Rocco and Rose (Magaldi) Lapenta.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank A. Bartolomeo on July 7, 1981, an infant son, a sister, Rose Puglia; and brothers, Domenic, Pete, Benjamin, Rocco, Anthony, and Donald Lapenta.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews and their families; and dear friends for many years, Elaine Milan and the late Dave Milan of Uniontown.

Sincere thanks to Tony and Christie Peroni, their staff at Peroni Personal Care Home, and staff of Medi Health Care and Hospice, for their exceptional and compassionate care.

Margaret was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, and attended South Union High School. She retired from Uniontown Hospital Housekeeping Department.

Friends will be received at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, today from 2 to 8 p.m.; and on T h u r s d a y September 6, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, 61 Mill St.,Uniontown, Pa., with Monsignor Michael W. Matusak as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.

The Parish Wake Service will be held this afternoon at 3 p.m.
