Nellie C. Brijya, age 97, of Smithfield, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, September 11, 2012.

She was born on May 26, 1915 in Oliver Three, Pa., daughter of John Brijya and Katie (Klamers) Brijya.

Nellie was a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Fairchance, Pa.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Joseph Braya, John Braya, Steve Braya, Frank Braya; and a sister, Blanche Balawender.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Mary Alice Drobny, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 N o r t h Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held with Reverend Father Andrew M. Kawecki officiating.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
