State police said they are searching for a suspect in two daytime burglaries at residences in Fayette City Sunday.

Trooper Christopher Klacik said the first break-in occurred around 6 p.m at a residence on Market Street.

Klacik said the suspect knocked on the front door and when no one answered, opened a window and entered the residence.

Once inside, the homeowner, who was inside, confronted the man, who then fled the residence.
