Republic man faces more charges

A Republic man, already behind bars for allegedly sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl on multiple occasions in June and August, is now facing additional charges, police said.

State police Trooper Matthew Gavrish said Alexander Lewis Frye, 23, was arraigned today by Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr. on charges including two counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child and single counts of sexual assault, indecent assault, intimidation of a witness or victim, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.

Those charges come one month after Frye was charged before Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr. with three counts each of aggravated indecent assault of a child, sex assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.
