Mary L. (Tedesco) Sierzega
Mary L. Tedesco Sierzega, age 46 of Hamilton, Virginia, formerly of Uniontown, Pa. passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2012.
She was born June 27, 1966 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of Arthur F. Tedesco and the late Florence Ann (Burns) Tedesco.
Mary was a 1984 graduate of Uniontown High School and the West Virginia Career College. She was a member of St. Frances De Sales in Purcellville, Virginia and a former member of St. John the Evangelist R. C. Church in Uniontown. Mary was very involved with her children, the children’s schools and the community.
Mary instilled a great sense of family tradition in her children, especially Christmas and Easter traditions handed down over generations to include baking special desserts and traditional ethnic food as well as holiday decorating.
Mary loved to scrap book, take care of her and the children’s large collection of turtles, both alive and the many knick knacks you could find scattered around the house, volunteering at the children’s schools and sports leagues and spending time with her family. Mary was completely dedicated to her husband and family and got great joy and pride out of the family she had created.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, Edward R. Sierzega; loving children: daughter Ainsley Marelle, age 15; twin sons: Zachary Thomas and Tyler Edward, age 14 and son Jayden Eric, age 10 as well as her father Arthur Tedesco.
Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Louise Geary of Uniontown, Pa., Thomas P. Sierzega, Jr. and wife Debbie Watson of Pittsburgh, Pa., Vivian and Mike Rouse of Woodbine, Md., Carl and Debbie Sierzega of Pittsburgh; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marie and Thomas Sierzega of Masontown, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.
Mary will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm. and Friday morning until 9 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Evangelist R. C. Church with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese as celebrant.
Interment is private for the family.
